I enjoyed the debut novel written by Christine Brae, The Light in the Wound. It was intense, full of angst and felt authentic; I even gave it a star rating. The Light In The Wound by Christine Brae. Aug | Alisha. I am completely BLOWN AWAY after reading this!!! Take Note those of you who are still suffering. The Light in the Wound by Christine Brae is an emotional book that perfectly captures the realities of life, in every aspect of it. It narrates the story of Isabel Amarra’s life from childhood till womanhood. It was very realistic because every joy, sadness, insecurity, fear, heartache, pain, regret and success of hers were bared in this story. His Wounded Light continues the story of Isabel Ailey, Alex Ailey and Jesse Cain. Readers only have Isabel's point of view in The Light in the Wound, but Christine Brae made the decision to write His Wounded Light from the points of view of each of the three main characters. I especially enjoyed reading the flashbacks from the point of view of Jesse.
